If you’re like me, part of the fun of traveling is shopping for your trip! Every new adventure warrants a new outfit. But I don’t want to waste money or fabric for travel items. I want to make purchases I can also wear in my everyday life!
Traveling to Kenya in 2019, I bought a jacket that reminds me of what a Safari guide would wear. I’ve since worn that on each international trip I’ve taken! Not because I’ve gone on Safari each time, but because it has deep pockets that hold my passport and everything I may need close by. And it’s cute!

Many people buy new outfits for mission trips, especially when they’re entering a culture that has a different style of dress from what they’re used to. Loose gaucho pants, long flowy skirts, and headbands are common purchases among female short-term missionaries. These clothes have cute patterns and bright colors. If we were to create a Pinterest board of short-term mission outfits, these would definitely be on it!
No matter where I’m going or why, there’s one clothing company I can’t travel without–Inspira! If you’re looking for an outfit you can buy for your everyday life, plus something you can wear on a plane or even in a different culture, Inspira has what you need. The clothes are comfortable and fitted to many different body types. They are made by women, for women, in every season of life. The founder of Inspira, Rachel, has curated her shop to be full of pieces that make you feel good.
I hope this doesn’t sound too much like a sales pitch. It’s just not very often that I find a clothing line that I love enough to share! So much so that I even got a discount code for you: use HANNAH10 or shop at THIS LINK.
Here are a few pieces I recommend for everyday wear, but also are perfect for travel:
Jumpstart Zip-Up Jacket
My first Inspira piece that kept me coming back for more! As the website says, this is my go-to jacket from running errands to working out or traveling. The deep, zip-up pockets are perfect for holding everything I need close (can you tell I’m a pocket girl?!). It keeps me warm on the plane while keeping me cool outside. Cute, cropped, and good for all temperatures.
Strength Ribbed Flares
Since I finally wore a hole through my 2010s Target yoga pants that fit me perfectly, I’ve had a hard time finding a replacement. Enter the Strength Ribbed Flares, smooth, flattering, and highwaisted for modest coverage when I want it. This is one of those pairs of pants you wear to feel confident while also crushing your to-do list. And I wear them when I want to just lounge around the house, too.
Strength Ribbed Pullover
I love the feminine look of a V-neck while still maintaining a casual feel. This pullover, which perfectly matches the flare pants, is cute but not revealing, fitted but not tight. This is the kind of top you wear when you want to look and feel good without putting any effort in. Simple, sophisticated, and honestly just easy!
Inspira x Del Campo Custom Socks
Yes, really. Socks are on my must-have travel list! I’ve always been a fan of good socks, and still request them in my Christmas stocking each year. When you are on the go, either at home or away, the last thing you want to worry about is your socks. I didn’t even really know there was a science behind socks until I ran a half marathon in 2020. I just knew I liked certain pairs and didn’t like others. And I love this pair! For relaxing at home, golfing in North Carolina, snow-tubing in Michigan, hiking trails in Costa Rica, and everywhere in between, these athletic, cushioned, and breathable socks are ones I reach for most often.

If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know living on-mission is a huge part of my life. I do this primarily through serving church leaders around the world, but one thing I love about Inspira is they are a company that lives on-mission, too. Inspira donates a portion of its sales to the Lupus Foundation of America. This is a woman-owned company focused on making the world a better place, not just in word but in action.
For the best clothes you can wear everyday and also travel with, check out Inspira! You’ll find simple pieces suited for multiple climates that you can dress up or dress down. Use my affiliate link or code HANNAH10 and find some pieces that you can truly feel good about buying.
Happy travels!
